Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida keeps families close to their hospitalized child. Our Family Room located on the 10th Floor of UF Health Shands Children's Hospital. The Family Room is an oasis of calm and normalcy amidst the busy medical setting-yet parents are just a few steps away from their child's bedside. Our 31 bedroom house provides comfy beds, homecooked meals and all the comforts of home to families traveling to Gainesville, FL to see medial care for their child. Our House program is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on their health of their child-not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
